Adventures in Ink

It all starting with a book Make Ink a forager’s guide for natural ink making. I instantly fell in love with making ink from food scraps to copper hash. It was like a chemistry experiment with food and ph shifters. All of this collection is hand drawn with a mono line pen then I added the food scraps in the circle instead of paint.

Watercolor Succulents

Flowers and plants are my favorite subjects to paint. With over hundreds of different varieties of succulents makes them delightful to paint. I am constantly amazed at the colors of each plant and which one grows flowers. I get the question a lot about my garden, and yes I have succulents in my garden since they are so easy to take care of. Many of my paintings have multiple layers of watercolor paint to get the vibrant colors. Since I use photos to paint from I have friends sending me pictures of their succulents.

NEW
COLLECTION

Welcome to the new landscape collection. I am obsessed with nature and landscapes. Clouds and the California coast is my inspiration for this collection.

Dreaming of Poppies

Poppies are one of my favorite flowers to paint. I love the rich reds to the soft and delicate pinks and yellows. My walks in my neighborhood inspired this collection. With all the rain we have recently had in California there has been many super blooms popping up everywhere. Watercolor is the perfect medium for me to paint the poppies with the ability to make it translucent or opaque.
